My father (95) flew as wireless operator in a Halifax Bomber during WWII. Towards the end of the war he took part in a number of sorties over Germany including the bombing of Hamburg. He knows what it was like to be caught in the searchlights and to have to duck and dive to avoid being shot at. He tells me (surprisingly) that he would like to attend your play in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe but I have to admit to being a bit concerned for him in case he may be more affected than he might expect. Thank you in advance. He may have more stories to tell.
Best wishes,
Hazel Macaulay
